The Director General of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brig-Gen Shuaibu Ibrahim says no fewer than 37,000 corps members nationwide are expected to stage a road walk against Corruption
The DG disclosed this while briefing newsmen in Kano on their collaboration with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) ahead of the road walk.
The Director General said the road walk was to sensitize the public on the danger of corruption in the society and its implications and also charged Nigerians to work hard to earn legitimate living.
General shuaibu Ibrahim maintained that the road walk was expected to witness massive participation from labour unions, Trade unions, Community based organisations and civil society organizations among others.
The NYSC Boss who would lead the road show in Kano said the event is targeted at the youth because they were the leaders of tomorrow.
In his remark, the Acting Chairman of the EFCC, Mr. Ibrahim Magu represented by the zonal head Kano zonal office Mr. Akinyene Ezima urged all and sundry to also embark on the fight against corruption for a better society.
He added that the objectives of the walk were among others to sensitise and mobilise youths across the country to reject the evils of corrupt practices.
