Doctors say masturbating could boost immune systems against coronavirus

Masturbation is bound to make your day more pleasurable – and it can have health benefits too, so claims a doctor.

According to the Doc, the most obvious bonus is its mood boosting qualities.

Your body releases endorphins after orgasm, working to keep you feeling happy.

And that’s not all, a self love session could boost your immune system too.

While this won’t necessarily protect you from COVID-19, it may reduce your chances of falling ill.

Dr Jennifer Landam, a hormone therapy specialist, believes that pleasuring yourself can strengthen the body’s natural defences.

This theory is echoed by a study carried out by the Department of Medical Psychology at the University Clinic of Essen in Germany.

Researchers tracked the impact of masturbation on 11 volunteers.

They measured participants’ white blood cell count before and after climax.

Results showed an increase in these infection-fighting cells following orgasm.

And according to Dr Nicole Prause, the more we’re enjoying the better.
