Naija Mode has been informed that the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi visited Ekiti State on Monday (today) to intervene on the current disagreement between monarchs in the state over leadership.
It was reported that the Ooni of Ife arrives in Ado-Ekiti a few minutes to 1 pm on Monday for a crucial meeting with traditional rulers in the state.
The Oba Ogunwusi at his arrival was received and taken to the palace of Ewi of Ado-Ekiti where the meeting holds behind close door.
Monarchs in attendance include Ewi of Ado-Ekiti Oba Rufus Adejugbe; Elekole of Ikole Oba Adewumi Fasiku; Oloye of Oye Oba Oluwole Ademolaju; Elemure of Emure Oba Emmanuel Ogunleye; Ajero of Ijero Oba Joseph Adewole; Alara of Aramoko, Oba Adegoke Adeyemi.
Also present are: Ogoga of Ikere-Ekiti Oba Samuel Adejimi; Oba Ayorinde Ilori-Faboro; Olomuo of Omuo Oba Noah Omonigbehin; Alaaye of Efon Oba Emmanuel Aladejare; Ologotun of Oguntun Oba Samuel Oyebade and Olujudo of Ido-Faboro.
Naija Mode understands that the main reason for the urgent meeting is to settle bring to end the longtime disagreement between Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi and the aggrieved monarchs.
This online news platform is aware that there has been a challenge of headship in the state since the appointment of Alawe of Ilawe-Ekiti, Oba Alabi, on July 31, 2019, as the new chairman of Ekiti Council of traditional rulers.
