Truth Behind Abaribe’s Sponsorship Of The Armed Forces Bill – Group

The Armed Forces Bill proposed by the lawmakers of the National Assembly has been condemned by the National Democratic Front (NDF).

According to the group, the bill proposal is another plot by Nigerian lawmakers to truncate Nigeria’s democracy.

Through the secretary-general of the NDF, Abdulkadir Bolaji, who spoke at a press conference in Abuja on Tuesday, March 10, the group noted the bill is targeted at destroying the revered Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

He said the bill should be given no form of consideration, claiming that it is being championed by a staunch advocate of the Indigenous People of Biafra and a Nnamdi Kanu’s sympathizer.

“The sponsorship of this despicable bill is indeed an avenue for the likes of Senator Eyinaya Abaribe to carryout out from where his protégée Nnamdi Kanu stopped in their quest to disintegrate Nigeria,” Bolaji said.

He also called on the National Assembly leadership to ignore all sentiments in this critical time and uphold the country’s democracy and peace.
The group said the bill is targeted at destroying the revered Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Bolaji said the group is aware that seated in the hallowed chambers are other advocates of those that are hell-bent on destroying Nigeria’s revered Armed Forces so they can actualize their destabilization and disintegration plot against our dear country.

He said the senator representing Abia South, Enyinnaya Abaribe is nursing a grudge against the Nigerian Military for quelling the IPOB uprising.

The group’s secretary-general said the sponsorship of the bill by Abaribe is a way to retaliate is to seek for the destruction of the Armed Forces through the Armed Forces Service Commission.
